Since I started this blog one thing I like to do as you may have probably already have noticed is putting together my own tutorials for the type of projects I do. Not only am I teaching different techniques to others who want to pursue the visual arts but it also helps me realize what I have accomplished already and what I want to accomplish more of in the future.
There are some teaching jobs where you do need a college degree like if you wanted to teach in a school or college. But there is always the option of teaching independently. If you wanted to take that route I say it all starts off with having a blog. Make one with different types of tutorials every week and over time you will begin to build up your teaching skills to the point where you can start putting together your own workshops in your area. And then later on that can lead to a teaching job in a school or college, or it can get you into grad school if teaching is something you wanted to pursue.
Another thing that teaching does is that it keeps you motivated to keep pursuing your art, which is what I have learned since I started my blog. It keeps me motivated to continue pursuing work and getting it out there so I have something to talk about here.
Teaching is a great way to know yourself better and head for bigger opportunities.
A note to my viewers: First of all I just want to say thank you very much for taking an interest in my blog. And if you have any questions regarding what I’m talking about feel free to shoot me an email or comment on one of my blogs and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge. Thanks again.
